Kingman, Ind. - Betty R. Sager, 93, of rural Kingman passed away at 1:28 a.m. EDT Thursday, May 30, 2019 at her residence.

She was born August 26, 1925 in Jellico, Tennessee the daughter of the late Peter and Dexter Ruth (Perry) Smith.

Betty married Charles E. Sager on April 26, 1942 in Chatsworth, Georgia. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2002.

Survivors include her son: Wayne Sager of rural Dana, Indiana; daughter: Sandra R. Jordan of Crawfordsville, Indiana; four grandchildren: Amanda (Chuck) Murphy; Daniel (Brandi) Sager; Amy (Eric) Andres and David Doss; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister: Jane Hamrick of Troy, Alabama; brother: Roy (Susie) Smith of Dayton, Ohio; brother-in-law: John Martin of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her grandson: Billy Ray Doss; Great Granddaughter: Allison Doss; brother/sister-in-law: Pete (Betty Lou) Smith and sister: Mary Ann Martin.

Betty formerly worked at General Electric, was a beautician and last worked at the Child Welfare Service in Paoli, Indiana. She was a member of the Cayuga Presbyterian Church. Betty was a 1942 graduate of Jellico High School. She enjoyed knitting, needle point, crocheting, cooking, gardening, canning and watching the Indiana Pacers.

Funeral services: 12:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Cayuga Presbyterian Church, 412 West Curtis Street, Cayuga, Indiana 47928; Officiating: Rev. Bill Henry; Visitation: 10:30 a.m. EDT until time of services at the church. Burial: Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute, Indiana.
