Cayuga, Ind. -- Neoma R. "Omie" Wills, 65, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 10:40 p.m. EDT Monday (June 19, 2006) at West Central Community Hospital in Clinton, Indiana.
She was born January 15, 1941, in Humrick, Illinois, the daughter of Donald and Lucy Holycross Meeker.
Survivors include her children: Kelly Jean (Richard) Price of Bushnell, Florida; Shelly Jane (Todd) Woodrow and Melanie Joan (Alan) Jones both of Kingman, Indiana; Carleton (Stephanie) Butler, II of Rockville, Indiana; Forrest Brian Butler of Terre Haute, Indiana; Her parents of Lodi, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Leona "Sis" (Dick) Keller of Cayuga, Indiana and Son in Law, Ray Reissmann of Kingman, Indiana. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Phyllis Dawn and Stacey Jo.
Neoma retired in 1991 as a security guard at the Newport Ammunition Plant in Newport, Indiana. She formerly owned and operated her own beauty salon in Cayuga, Indiana for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Rainbow Post # 263. Neoma enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and fishing.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Thursday, June 22, 2006 at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Garrett Lee; Burial: Miller Cemetery in Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT with a Auxiliary Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m. EDT at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home.
