Cayuga, Ind. - Nicholas "Chubbs" Ellis, 30, of Cayuga passed away unexpectedly at 12:45 p.m. EDT Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his residence.
He was born January 15, 1992 in Danville, Illinois the son of Michelle (Morgan) Julick and Denny Dean Ellis.
Survivors include his mother: Michelle (Buddy) Julick of Cayuga, Indiana; father: Denny (Casey) Ellis of Williamsport, Indiana; siblings: Bailee Mitchell, Cole Julick, Shelby (Daniel) Joza, Bailey (Austin) Hurst, Zachery Brooks-Ellis and Trey Brooks-Ellis; maternal grandfather: Mike Morgan of Cayuga, Indiana; paternal grandfather: Fred "Chub" Ellis of West Lebanon, Indiana; uncle: Bob (Kari) Morgan of Cayuga, Indiana, and many extended family and friends that loved him.
Chubbs was currently working at Krupp Gerlach Company (Past 8 years) in Veedersburg, Indiana as a maintenance tech. He was a 2010 graduate of North Vermillion High School and was currently on the Dean's list at SDI Gunsmithing School. He was a member of the Perrysville Unity Lodge #344 F&AM. He enjoyed gunsmithing, music, commercial fishing, golfing, demo derbies and Notre Dame Football.
Graveside services and burial: 10 a.m. EDT Friday, June 3, 2022 at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana with Masonic Rites by the Perrysville Unity Lodge #344 F&AM; Officiating: Rod Andrews. Family and friends can meet at the Cayuga American Legion, 922 West Ferry Street, Cayuga, Indiana 47928 for a Celebration of Life Gathering at 1 p.m. EDT, Friday, June 3, 2022.
