Obituary

Perrysville, Ind. - Esther L. Ross, 84, of Perrysville, Indiana passed away Tuesday evening, March 5, 2019 at OSF Healthcare in Danville, Illinois.

 

She was born May 13, 1934 in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Orville and Ethel (VanCamp) Miller. She married Ivan L. Ross on June 27, 1958 in Georgetown, Illinois. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2003.

 

Survivors include: one daughter: Cheryl (Bill) Birge of Kingman, Indiana; three sons: Estile Raymond (Luanne) Ross of Montezuma, Indiana; Ivan C. (Kim) Ross of Newport, Indiana and Jerry S. Ross of Perrysville, Indiana; 4 grandchildren: Josh (Mandy Troxel) Ross; Brandon (Erin) Ross; and Kyle (Emily) Ross and Megan (Joseph) Burton; 9 great-grandchildren: Harlan Ross; Brea Ross; Emily Price; Braydon Ross; Dylan Ross; Daniel McGeehee; Brandon McGeehee; Maddy Ross and Landon Ross; one brother: Garnet (Karen) Miller of Westville, Illinois; one sister: Zelma Smith of Newport, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Harlan Ross; one brother: Larry Miller and one sister: Betty Lange.

 

Esther was a 1952 graduate of Georgetown High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing cards, tending her garden and flowers and spending time with her family.

 

Graveside services and burial: 2:30 p.m. EDT Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Ramona Trover. There will be no visitation. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278. DeVerter Funeral home in Cayuga, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
